Applications for the 2009 season are welcome from November 2008.
Thank you for your interest in the
breakfast/bar position at our hotel. I’d appreciate you filling in the
enclosed form along with a photograph and telephone number as soon as possible,
as it is now that I start to organize my staff team for the summer
season.
Our season starts beginning of April and ends around
the end of October.
FOR THOSE WHO ARE NOT INTERESTED IN WORKING THE 7 MONTHS PLEASE DO
NOT APPLY
Work......Consists of general bar and breakfast duties. Lunchtime
snacks, sandwich and cake making etc. On your shift you will be working
on your own (except for breakfast) and are responsible for ordering
stock, using cash register, preparing room bar bills, cashing up and
opening or closing the bar on your shift. The shift is organized on a
roster basis i.e. 1st day 07.00 until 15.30, then you are off until
15.30 the next day. 2nd day 15.30 until midnight (weekends Fri. Sat
until 1 am), which means that you have 24 hours off every other day. You
could be called on to help with the cleaning of rooms on Tuesdays and
Sundays (during peak season), because these are our two main change over
days. In your free time you have the chance to go walking in the
mountains, swimming in the sea, sunbathing
and canoeing etc. (work 7 days a week).
We keep a friendly and informal atmosphere (clients and staff are of the
same disposition) hence I require the "Perfect staff" Criteria:
organized, responsible, reliable, trustworthy, flexible, friendly,
outgoing, fun, good sense of humour etc…….. (must admit I don’t always
get it – but I do try).
Our guests are from all over the world but are mainly English and German
so it would be helpful if both languages were spoken, but if not,
English is a must. (Greek is not necessary you can learn the
words you need to know when you are here.)
Applicants: Female between 23-29 years old. (I am sorry, couples
are not suited for the job and should not apply.)
PAYNormally you can live off your tips (Money goes a long way in Loutro, as
there is no where to spend it basically you could return with the entire
season's wage.)
Accommodation is provided - each has their own room, (two rooms share 1
bathroom), however, as I don’t cook for my husband or children, the same
will apply to you.
There are 6 excellent, inexpensive tavernas catering for the whole of
Loutro (every palette is provided for).
